B.Sc MLT

Santhi Institute of Allied Health Sciences was established in 2023 with the aim of providing high-quality education in allied medical sciences. The institution is operated by the Islamic Welfare Trust Omassery. Our students receive training at our parent hospital, Santhi Hospital Omassery, which was established in 1989 and boasts over 300 beds in various specialties and super specialties. At Santhi Institute, we recognize the importance of allied health professionals and offer courses in allied medical sciences to train students to excel in their professional careers and provide better service to the community. Our institution is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by highly qualified faculty who are dedicated to delivering top-notch medical education. We continuously update our courses to keep up with advancements in medical technology and research. Furthermore, we are committed to introducing various healthcare courses in the future. It is worth noting that our institution has been developed without any subsidies and operates as a fully self-financed centre of higher education.

Academic Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc MLT) – 4 Years

According to the norms set by the Kerala University of Health Science (KUHS), candidates must have completed 12 years of schooling and obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English at the +2 level.

  • Completion of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course)
  • Completion of the Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2)
  • Completion of the Pre-Degree Examination (10+2)
  • Or an equivalent qualification with 12 years of schooling from a recognized board or university, with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English, and a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
